Why are the cattle being driven?

The cattle are being driven home to be processed through our yards before returning back to the bush. In the yards they will be drenched, mouthed ect and any cows getting on in age will stay behind at the home block and they will be replaced with younger heifers which will go to the more challenging conditions of the sub-alpine high country. 

How much does it cost?

$2,200 if you bring your own horse
$2,700 if you need a horse provided
A $500 deposit is needed to secure a position on the Droving Trip

Can we bring our own horse?

It is preferred that people do bring their own horses and gear, but if they are unable to do so we can arrange these for them. A discount is provided for those who do bring their own horse and gear.

Can we hire a swag or tent?

Yes, if need be swags & tents are available for hire

Are saddles and gear available to use?

Yes, those who are using one of our horses will also be provided with saddles and gear. If a guest would prefer to use their own saddle they are most welcome to!

What do I need to bring?

- Horse & gear if possible
- Camping gear (swag/tent etc)
- Towel
- Torch
- Camera
- Riding clothes
- Swimmers
- Warm clothing for the evening
- Personal items including toiletries & medication
- Alcoholic beverages and soft drink

How many places are available on the trip?

A limit of 20 places are available for the droving trip so book early to avoid disappointment.

Is alcohol allowed on the trip?

Yes! Water & cordial will be provided throughout the drove, and if guests are wanting to bring alcohol they are most welcome.

What toilet & shower facilities are available?

Through out the trip a 'Porta-loo' will be traveling along with us so guests have no need to worry about using a 'bush dunny'. Also we have a shower set up so guests can enjoy the comfort of a warm shower every night and morning.
